Driving in Phu Quoc is relatively easier and stress-free compared to Ho Chi Minh City. The streets are filled with motorbikes rather than cars. In addition, the main town has more traffic than the suburbs.

Caution for New Motorbike Riders.

Some people warn that if you are new to motorbike riding, Phu Quoc might not be a good place to start. Motorcyclists ride very closely to each other and sometimes come from the wrong direction.

Size-wise, it’s roughly the same size as Singapore. Just a couple of days is all it takes to see the vast majority of the island in one go. It’s highly recommended to self-drive your way around the island, so you can go at your own pace and explore as you please.

The hottest period was during the month of April and May. Rainy season starts from June to September.
