#2 “THE DAY” has arrived (Driving up the Car Ferry)
Be there at least an hour before your ferry departure for customs inspection purposes. Once you arrive at Kuala Perlis Jetty, you’ll need to secure a parking spot to get your documents processed to allow you to board the ferry. We recommend parking in the parking lot beside the mosque as it is the nearest to the document processing office and the jetty embarkment area.
Driving to the jetty can be quite confusing as signage is quite limited. However, don’t fret, the staff at the jetty are very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist you.
#3 Ferry Departing and the Journey Begins
Once the ferry has loaded all the vehicles. Now it is time for departure. You can head up to the passenger’s lounge and watch a show, they even have some snacks and beverages. The passenger’s lounge is air conditioned. There are also restrooms provided.
Above the passenger lounge is a viewing deck where you can enjoy the breeze and see the Andaman Sea. The area is partially shaded, so it won’t get too hot. In addition, we found two tables located just beside the captain’s deck, where you can enjoy your meal with the sea breeze. If you wish to occupy that space, you need to book it as soon as possible.
