#1 Snowtown Saigon

My kids 4 and 7 years old had lots of fun on the snow hill. They played a solid 2 hours. The best part, we had no queue for the snow hill, and it was nearly empty as it was a weekday. Remember to pack an additional set of clothes because the snow hill will make you soaked. My 4-year-old son, who played the most, was drenched after 2 hours.
#2 Pirate Ship Kids Playground @ Vinhomes Central Park

- As non-residents, to exit the basement car park, we were directed to walk up the car ramp to exit the car park. It was common here as the local did the same for those visiting the park.
It is a huge modern playground for kids of all ages. With fun climbing structures, pirate-themed slides, soft ground, and even an adult fitness playground within the kids’ playground for parents.
It was located along the Saigon River. During the night, Landmark 81 illuminated the sky as a backdrop to the park. Cool river breeze during the night. As there are no shades during the day, it is best to come at night.
#3 Saigon Central Post Office

We stumbled upon this attraction as we were heading to see Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon. Unfortunately, during the time when we were there Norte Dame was under restoration. The Saigon Post Office was just walking distance to it and Ho Chi Minh City Book Street. Saigon Post Office was an impressive architecture building. Inside, there were souvenirs and post card stalls as well as a functioning post office.

#4 Ben Dinh War Tunnels or Cu Chi Tunnels
Entrance Fee: 125,000 VND
Free of Charge: Kids below 120cm

This attraction is one not to be missed. We were brought around by a guide who explained the whole 1.5 hours about how they survived the Vietnam War by their ingenious tactics and, most impressively, the village underground. The kids enjoyed the tunnel mostly. It was an experience for all of us, young and old. Even though it was noon when we arrived, the entire tour was kept cool by the jungle’s trees. Along the pathways are various places to rest. Halfway through the tour, you will be allowed to use the restroom and take a 20-minute break to either rest or test the shooting range.
#5 War Remnants Museum
Entrance Fee:

- 20,000 VND for kids aged 6 -16

- It is located along road of the entrance of the War Remnants Museum.

This attraction was a 3 Storey Building filled with the history of the Vietnam War. It was very educational and heart-wrenching to see the suffering and sacrifices. Honestly, it was not for the faint of heart. On the third floor, there is a children’s play area filled with toys, books and dress-up costumes to occupy the young kids while the adults went to view the museum.

We had a wonderful stay at Somerset Feliz. We highly recommend this place as it provided everything we need as a family with young children and elderly people.
The facilities provided were swimming pools, children water splash area, hot water spring jacuzzi, sauna, tennis court and even an indoor children area. The was even a Starbucks and grocery store (Annam Gourmet) located at the ground floor of our apartment.
In addition, our 3-bedroom apartment had a washer and a dryer which we used every day.
