Huge Rooftop Garden and Free Playground in Penang

Opening Hours:

  • Daily (6am to 10pm)

When we were at the Setia Spice Convention Centre for a conference, we discovered a huge garden on the 3rd floor, as well as a wide lawn space with a bamboo theme garden and a large children’s play area. As parents, we were captivated by the playground

You will only need to pay for parking if you park in the basement. RM2 for the first 2 hours and subsequent hours will be charged RM1.

Firstly, drive to the Setia Spice Entrance (picture as above) to enter into the basement parking. Once parked in the basement, for easy access to the kid’s park, head to lift 5 & 6. It is the first lift that you will see once you enter the basement parking. Take the lift to R1 and you will reach the Pyramid floor.

There is also a wide space of open lawn. You will see youths playing Captain Ball, some families flying kites, roller skating and scootering around. It is extensively utilized for a wide range of leisure sports. Restrooms are also provided here and the best thing is that it is clean.

You can now choose to head to the kids’ park or the bamboo garden. They are both at opposite ends. The bamboo garden also has a small kids’ area as well.

It’s amazing to see that this playground has a special feature for children with special needs – a sensory swing in the kids’ park.

We suggest coming when it’s not too sunny as the place has limited shaded areas. Best to go at night to avoid the heat. Come on weekdays to avoid the crowd.

Finally, we hope this blog is helpful, and we wish you an enjoyable time in the playground with your families.
